IFF Academy Research Journal Volume 3
Submitted by Rob Black on Dezember 10, 2007 - 12:08am.

Dear Feldenkrais Practitioner, On behalf of the Editorial Board of the IFF Academy Research Journal, it is with pleasure that I announce that Volume 3 of the IFF Academy Research Journal has been published. The journal can be found at IFF Academy Research Journal Vol 3. New for Volume 3 is that the journal is now peer reviewed by the members of the Editorial Board. The reason for making the journal peer reviewed is that we believe it will strengthen the standing of the journal and attract more and higher quality articles in the future. Members of the Editorial Board are (in alphabetical order) Staffan Elgelid (US), Zoran Kovich (Australia), Franz Mechner(UK), Lynette Reid (Canada), Claudia Schlebusch (Germany), Robert Schleip (Germany), and Anna Yeatman (Canada). The theme of Volume 3 of the journal is "The Future of Research in the Feldenkrais Method." Researchers and Feldenkrais practitioners from several countries and with varied backgrounds were invited to write about the direction of research in the Feldenkrais Method. The contributors to the journal have articulated several possibilities for future research, and hopefully the articles can serve as a springboard for discussions in the Feldenkrais community regarding research directions. The Editorial Board has not determined if future volumes will be thematic or if the journal will publish a variety of research. My guess is that some Volumes may be thematic, but that the majority of the volumes in the future will publish completed clinical as well as theoretical studies that relates to the Feldenkrais Method. The research journal is membership driven and we rely on the members of each individual guild/organization to help us find and write articles, and to provide input and suggestions about future volumes of the Journal. So please send us your comments and articles, and they will be distributed to the IFF Editorial Board members. Your comments and articles will improve the Journal and guide us towards a bright future. Sincerely, Staffan Elgelid PhD, CFT, PT, LMT Acknowledgements The IFF Academy Committee wants to acknowledge the Editorial Board of the IFF Academy Research Journal and especially Staffan Elgelid for the enthusiasm, engagement and contribution to produce the Journal’s third volume. Producing a Journal requires a huge amount of volunteer work especially because this volume the Journal is now peer-reviewed. Many thanks, too, to Carolin Theuring for project organisation and InterKnowledge Corporation for Design & Production. The Academy Committee is looking forward to the next volume and wishes the Editorial Board to continue with its great work. On behalf of the IFF Academy committee |
