IFF Academy History-The 2001 ReportThe International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF) was commissioned by its member-organisations to develop and implement visions intended to further high-quality professional applications of the Feldenkrais Method. For several years now the IFF has therefore been involved in emerging the Feldenkrais Method into its own professional field. To know more about the idea and the purposes of the IFF Academy read the report from the 2001 Assembly in Kassel, Germany. It is available in five different languages (see "Attachments" below). In the meetings of the IFF evolved a common understanding of the professional field process within our community. Becoming aware of historical, cultural and individual differences of words (and their connoted behaviour) enables us, the Feldenkrais Community, to discover common or similar views/interests, where we have assumed or experienced divergent ones. Of course, the idea of a Professional Field is new to some people, and so the IFF Academy developed a Dictionary of related Terms |
